September is Craniofacial Acceptance Month

As most of you may know I am mummy to little BabyStar who was born with a cleft lip and palate among lots of other things.

September is the craniofacial acceptance month, a reminder to see beyond the face and realise that behind every wide smile there is a gorgeous person, exactly the same as you and me.

1 in 700 babies are born with a cleft in the UK, in the last few years the numbers have drastically increased and are getting higher every year.

The cleft teams throughout the country are absolutely amazing in helping cleft families with all the problems they may encounter and there to hold us cleft mummies hands during our children's operations.

Please share this if you have a second, for all the wonderful Cleft Teams out there, the amazing work CLAPA does and all the thousands of brave children :)
